Guardian has now travelled more than 21 billion kilometres globally, and with it, our naturalistic driving dataset continues to deepen in scale, diversity and value. Following last year’s first global analysis, the 2024-25 Guardian Insights Report provides an even more comprehensive view across every region in which Guardian operates.

With fatigue and distraction remaining significant contributors to transport fatalities and injuries in transport, this year’s report builds on prior work by exploring key questions such as:

  • Are there consistent patterns around fatigue and distraction?
  • What trends are emerging regionally and globally?
  • How can companies use these insights to support their drivers and reduce risk?

The information provided in the Guardian Insights Report may also help policymakers and safety advocates better understand and ultimately reduce driver impairment risks, aligning with Seeing Machines’ mission of achieving zero transport-related fatalities and injuries.

“Progress requires collaboration across industry, regulators, and operators, and we are committed to contributing insights that drive meaningful change,” said Dr Mike Lenné, Chief Safety Officer at Seeing Machines. “I invite you to explore the data, reflect on the trends, and consider the role we can each play in ensuring every fleet driver, and every road user, gets home safely.”
