The ACT Government awarded a funding grant to Seeing Machines to embed Australian Traineeships into its workforce development strategy, providing employment opportunities for neurodiverse and disadvantaged jobseekers in the ACT, and keep new jobs onshore.

The grant has enabled Seeing Machines to relocate half of its 24/7 Guardian Centre workforce back to Australia from North America to adopt a ‘follow-the-sun’ approach to its 24/7 service provision around the world.

Chief Minister Barr said “The ACT Government is committed to supporting local businesses to create more jobs outside of the Australian Public Service.

“Seeing Machines is a great example of a Canberra company that, through ACT Government support, is creating more local jobs. This includes a A$300,000 investment through the ACT Government’s Future Skills for Future Jobs program assigned to their Canberra basedĀ GuardianĀ Monitoring Centre, providing apprenticeship opportunities for Canberrans, as well as more job opportunities for neurodiverse and disadvantaged job seekers.”
