“I am very passionate about road safety. There have been too many deaths on our roads caused by tired or distracted drivers, and the technology that can help us prevent those accidents is already available. So I want to make sure that our transport industry and our drivers know about it,” emphasised Murphy.

Murphy will be promoting Seeing Machines’ Guardian technology at roadshows and events in New Zealand. “With Murph’s background, he’s the perfect person to help promote our road safety messages and solutions for improved driver safety,” said Charles Dawson, AutoSense CEO.

Distraction and fatigue play a major role in road incidents, and the newest road safety advocate is hoping he can contribute in helping to reduce risks while driving. “Ultimately, we all work towards the same goal. Everyone wants to see their loved ones coming back home safe and sound. If I can do anything to save even one life, I will be more than pleased,” added Murphy.
